Resident potter Steve Leaning specializes in making slab built pots in stoneware, from simple little boxes up to large decorative pieces. Barbara's pots are hand coiled each slowly evolving a shape of its own - no two are ever the same. She also produces hand painted earthern ware tiles for sale and comission these range from carefully tubelined flowers to a freer more abstract style.
The finished pots are fired to 1250c and the tiles to 1020c.

Potter Steve also hosts a very popular Pottery Club on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning and afternoon. They are open for anyone to come along, (although it is restricted to six places) and try their hand at working with clay, beginners are more than welcome.
